IT Security Officer

About the role 

This position is responsible for analysing and documenting cyber security risks to AFSA’s ICT network and infrastructure, and developing policies, plans, and other documentation to improve security compliance.  

Duties 

• Responding to requests in the team mailbox 
• Performing analysis and resolution of service tickets 
• Appropriate investigation of reported vulnerability alerts 
• Provision of documentation and advice to all areas of the agency 

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Prior experience within a technical ICT position
• Demonstrated experience in drafting technical documentation
• Understanding of and exposure to cyber security activities

The following skills and qualifications are not mandatory but will be useful for the position:

• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• SANS specific security training
