Personal lending has recorded a 2.8 per cent upswing in February, according to the latest figures released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS).

The data found that personal lending commitments increased to $7.83 billion in February, compared to $7.66 billion in January.

Revolving credit commitments also rose by 5.2 per cent, while fixed lending commitments rose by 1.1 per cent in February.

Total business finance lending rose by 1 per cent over the same period to finish up at a seasonally adjusted figure of $29.180 billion.
